The Community Clean Up initiative featuring The Dirty Nip Challenge is our call to action! It's a movement that encourages everyone to step outside, roll up their sleeves, and contribute to a cleaner, more beautiful environment. Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or joining us for the first time, your participation helps us inspire change and foster a sense of community and care.
Your donations will help cover essential costs, including trash disposal, No Littering signs, and marketing efforts to raise awareness and get more people involved. Spreading the word takes resources, and every contribution makes a difference. Additionally, gift card prizes are awarded to The Dirty Nip Challenge winners who collect the most trash. If just 20 people in each community dedicate a few hours to cleaning their streets, everyone benefits—it’s a true win-win for all!
GET INVOLVED
Everyone and anyone can make a difference, No special skills to join! Just need people with the willingness to get off the couch and make a difference. Volunteers are encouraged to bring family and friends to share this rewarding experience. You’re never too young or too old to make a difference!
IMPACT
Our cleanup projects have successfully reduced litter and beautified local neighborhoods. With each cleanup event and The Dirty Nip Challenge, we see a growing community of dedicated individuals eager to make a difference in their community.
We shouldn't let the small percentage of people who litter and disregard our community dictate its appearance. When most of us take pride in keeping our personal and shared spaces clean, it sets a positive example and discourages careless behavior. Even small actions—like picking up litter or encouraging others to be mindful—can make a big difference.

SPRING SWEEP
Heroes on the Quabbin is thrilled to announce "The Dirty Nip Challenge 3: Spring Sweep"! Building on the success of our previous community-driven events, we're inviting everyone to participate once again in cleaning up our towns while engaging in friendly competition.
EVENT DETAILS:
What: Join forces or work solo to collect discarded nip bottles and other common litter found in your community.
When: Now through the end of May.
Prize: The participant with the largest collection of nips wins a $50 VISA gift card!
Unite with friends, neighbors, and fellow citizens to make our environment cleaner and healthier. Together, we can make a difference. Let’s declutter our beautiful surroundings one nip bottle at a time!

RULES:
1) Pick up trash on the streets of your community, including all the Dirty Nips.
2) Share photos of your cleanup efforts on Facebook using #DirtyNipChallenge and #HeroesOnTheQuabbin, and be sure to tag Heroes on the Quabbin.
3) Message us your final tally along with a photo of all your nips
Winner will be announced at the beginning of June.
